Marler Bridge

Marler Bridge is Seen as the Gateway to Destin.

The bridge was named after William T. "Uncle Billy" Marler. He first moved to the sleepy fishing village now know as Destin, back in 1879 to work for Leonard Destin Sr. From the height of the bridge, which spans the half mile from Okaloosa Island into Destin, travelers can see as far as the East Pass into the Gulf of Mexico one direction and across Crab Island to the Choctawhatchee Bay in the other.
