PARKING – Destin Community Center parking is available on weekdays and weekends. The lot is occasionally closed for special community center events. Closing signs will be posted.
Destin Library weekend parking is available after hours – Saturday after 1 p.m.; all day Sunday
The Marler Street and Zerbie Street parking lots are open weekdays and weekends.
Parking is allowed in rights-of-way unless “No Parking” signs are posted. Do not park on sidewalks. Do not park in bike lanes.
No overnight parking is allowed in city parking lots.
⦁ All parking in the Harbor District is within a 5 to 10-minute walk to the Harbor Boardwalk.
⦁ There are a number of private parking options in the Harbor District. Some charge a fee.

Destin is a beachfront town with plenty of methods of transportation to help you get around and explore our area. It’s important to plan ahead so you know exactly how to get to where you want to go. Here’s an overview of options to help you plan your trip.
HOW TO GET TO PARADISE
From Destin East/Sandestin via HWY 20
Take 98W to 293N (Mid-Bay Bridge Route), $3.00 toll. After the toll bridge, take the second exit ramp on the right (Niceville/Freeport) onto 20W to Niceville. Travel approximately 5 miles. There are 2 exits to HWY 85. The first exit is to Crestview (85N), and the second exit is to the Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport (85S). Take a right on the exit to 85S. Travel 4 miles. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport will be on the left. Driving time – 30 minutes
From Destin West/Fort Walton via HWY 98
In Destin, take 98W to Fort Walton Beach. At the second traffic light after the bridge in Fort Walton Beach turn right onto 85N (Eglin Parkway). Travel North for approximately 7 miles. When entering the wooded area, look for a merge to the right to Niceville/Crestview. Take a right to merge. Continue on 85N through 2 traffic signals. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the right. Driving time – 20 to 30 minutes
From Panama City via HWY 20
Take 20W to Niceville. Take 85S to Airport. Travel 4 miles. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the left.
Driving time – 1 to 1.2 hours
From Panama City via HWY 98
Take 98W to Fort Walton Beach. At the second traffic light after the bridge, take right onto 85N (Eglin Parkway). Travel North for approximately 7 miles. When entering the wooded area, look for a merge to the right to Niceville/Crestview. Take a right to merge. Continue on 85N through 2 traffic signals. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the right.
Driving time – 1 to 1.2 hours
From Panama City via HWY I-10
Take I-10W to Crestview. Take Exit 56 at Crestview. Take a left onto 85S. Travel 12 miles.
Take a right onto SR 123S before the traffic signal. Travel 6 miles on SR 123S. At the end, take a left onto 85. After taking a left, when able, immediately get into the furthest right lane. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the right.
Driving time – 1.2 to 1.5 hours
FROM PENSACOLA via HWY 98
Take 98E to Mary Esther. In Mary Esther, take 393N (Mary Esther Cutoff) to 189E (Beal Parkway). Take 189E for approximately 5 miles. When entering the wooded area, continue to travel for several miles. Look for the intersection of 189E and 85N. Take a left onto 85N. Travel for 1 mile. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the right. Driving time – 1 to 1.2 hours
FROM PENSACOLA via I-10
Take I-10E to Crestview. Get off at Exit 56. Take a right onto HWY 85S. Travel South for 12 miles. Take a right onto SR 123S before the traffic signal. Travel 6 miles on SR 123S. Take the left exit ramp at the airport. After taking a left, when able, immediately get into the furthest right lane. The Destin – Fort Walton Beach Airport is on the right. Driving time – 1 to 1.2 hours
